Easy homemade hair growth tips for fuller and richer locks

Healthy hair plays a very key role when it comes to concepts such as styling and personality. For this reason, conditions like hair loss, hair damage, thinning of hair and dandruff can be a source of major frustration for people who are bothered by these issues. There was a time when hair fall was intimately related to ageing.

However, with the stress of modern day lifestyle and rising levels of pollution, hair problems are now more common than ever before. Other factors that commonly lead to hair loss include hormonal imbalance, nutritional deficiencies, styling hair in improper ways, genetics, and exposing hair to chemicals or heating tools. In this article, we present you with some homemade hair growth tips that you can try out for better and healthier hair.

hot oil

Massage your scalp with hot oil

This is one of the most well known homemade hair growth tips that have been time tested for maximum effectiveness. Massaging your scalp with hot oil helps to improve circulation which in turn stimulates hair growth. By doing it for about 5 minutes on a daily basis, you can see the positive results. Rub your fingers over your scalp on a circular motion, while applying mild pressure and kneading from time to time to open up blood vessels and promote blood flow. Put hot oil in your hair and gently comb it through in order to ensure total distribution and minimize breakage during shampooing.     Wrap a heated towel or plastic cap over your hair for about 30 minutes before shampooing.

rosemerry

Take advantage of the benefits of rosemary

Rosemary is a great herb when it comes to hair care. It helps in the elimination of dandruff, strengthens the hair roots and promotes growth of long locks. Its proven antioxidant properties help in hair growth and the silica and sulfur content of rosemary aids in reversing hair loss. It can boost circulation and unclog the blocked hair follicles. Also, the chemical properties of rosemary help in darkening of the hair. Combine two droplets of rosemary essential oil with two tablespoons of some base oil like olive, jojoba, coconut, avocado or almond oil and massage it on your scalp and hair. Leave it for about 30 minutes and then rinse off with a shampoo.

Add protein to your hair by using eggs

Hair is formed of keratin protein, and it is a known fact that eggs are one of the finest sources of protein. Whisk 2 egg yolks and combine it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Now apply it on your scalp evenly and leave it for about 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off using cold water and cleanse with a shampoo as usual. You can also create a hair mask by mixing one egg with a quarter cup each of mayonnaise and plain yogurt in a blender. Then apply this in your hair and use a shower cap to cover it. Keep it for about 60 minutes before rinsing off with cold water and shampoo.
